Today is Tuesday for those of you who keep up with space and time.
Have you ever stopped to think about what time really is? What does it mean and is it real?
This weekend I spent a good bit of time thinking about time. Time with my daughter, time for exercise, time to read, time to plan, time to socialize, time to eat, time to pray, time to call someone special, time to take a trip.
But are those thoughts even worth the time?
When I was spending time with my family this weekend, I tried hard to focus on the engagement between myself and others. What are we sharing? Can I tell how the other person is feeling? By focusing on the exchange, strangley enough it creates a unconscious behavior of paying better attention to the entire event as oppossed to just your piece of the conversation. I swear I talk to folks sometimes who seem like they are in the middle of an entirely different conversation with themselves!
When I foucsed on the entire exchange, I was also able to recall more detail about the conversation.
When I foucsed on where we were sitting and how we were facing each other, I was also able to remember that part of the conversation better. You begin to forget about other distractions like how much time do I have before im doing something else?
All anyone wants in a conversation is to know that they have been heard and we all have a right to that basic desire. Next time you are having a casual conversation with a friend or collegue, do yourself and the greater good a favor by forgetting about time and focusing on forging better relationships.

Shazaam!
Today i want to talk about you and your body. As I get older im left wondering more and more each day what that little pain in my foot is or where that mark came from or why does my left arm hurt like a muscle pull? In a world of readily available information you would think I could look online for some insight? However, there is now so much stuff out there that im not sure its worth digging around looking for trouble.
I am under the impression that your mind has the power to grow, eliminate, re-size or reshape any part of you and all of it may not be comfortable. The less outside influence you supply, the more clear your internal perception of yourself.
It seems so simple, but if you dont think about having cancer, you probably wont get it.
We apply these tactics in other areas of our life like finance and wealth and it seems plausible that it would work in health as well. Im trying really hard right now to not focus on what i cant see and to trust that the Lord has a plan for me. It may be a bumpy plan, but it is a perfect bumpy plan.
Trust your body, trust yourself, trust the Lord.
" The secret of health for both mind and body is to not mourn for the past, worry about the future, or anticipate troubles, but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly."
